여기는 유치원 입니다. 여름을 맞이하여 7,8월에는 물과 에너지라는 주제로 프로젝트 수업을 하였습니다. 아이들과 함께 손을 씻을 때 손에 물을 묻힌 후 수돗물을 잠그고 비누칠을 구석구석 한 후 수돗물 수업을 약하게 하여 손을 헹굽니다. 양치질은 모두 개인 양치컵을 구비하여 물을 받아 양치합니다. 종이류는 각 반별 개별 박스를 준비하여 분리수거를 철저히 하고 있으며 교사들은 양면지를 사용합니다. 각 반 교실의 불은 소등을 하고 되도록 교무실에 모두 모여서 업무를 봅니다.

우리는 175명이 함께 실천하고 있습니다.

Make your own sauces/condiments such as barbeque sauce and reuse plastic bottles/jars such as salad dressing, mustard and mayonnaise containers. The added benefit is that you know what's in what you made, and no added chemicals. You more than likely have saved quite a bit of money.

나는 재작년여름부터 절전형멀티텝5개를 3만원미만에구입하여 정부가 지정한 집안의 모든 가전제품에 설치하고 가전제품을 사용치 않을때는 멀티텝스위치를 "꼭" 껐더니 월 8천원의 전기요금이 절야되어 투자액을 4개월에 뽑고 매주토요일 KBS1의 불우이웃돕기전화를 한다. 이체험을 동네 성당 주민센타 중학교 성남시청 성남시구청과 주민센타모두, 그리고 전국의 시도광역자치단체 홈페이지에 알렸다. 본켐페인을 1,800만개(한국의 전력수용가수)켐페인으로 발전시켜야 한다. 목표조기달성을 위하여는 한국전력이 앞장서야 하고 정부는 목표달성시까지 전기요금인상을 불허하여야 한다. 한국전력은 10년부터 나서야야 했는네 정부가 잘못 지도했다. 목표달성으로 G20회의때 대통령이 국제회의에서 이미 선언한 녹색선도국임을 보여주어야 한다.

에어컨을 켤때 선풍기를 꼭 같이 활용하세요. 에어컨은 1500와트이고 선풍기는 소형은 50와트, 중형은 70와트랍니다. 당연히 전력소비가 줄어들겠지요..아주 사소한것이지만 전기세를 줄일수 있는 획기적인 방법이랍니다. 저는 두대의 선풍기만 사용하거나 에어컨을 켤때도 항상 두대의 선풍기를 같이 켠답니다.

브래지어 덜 착용하기. 겉옷이 색깔이 짙다면 저는 거의 브라를 착용하지 않아요. 밖으로 드러나지 않습니다. 선풍기나 에어컨을 사용할 때, 실내온도를 많이 내리지 않아도 되요. 남성들이 네타이를 안 매는 것과 같은 원리라 생각하면 되요. 건강에도 아주 좋습니다.

치약 다 쓰고 나면 반으로 잘라서 그 안에 남은 것을 못 쓰는 칫솔로 닦아서 욕실 구석구석 청소하면 좋아요. 그리고 소변 후에는 대야에 손을 씻고 그 물을 변기에 부어주세요. 샤워한 물도 마찬가지구요. 물이 많이 절약됩니다.

가까운길은 자주 걸어다니고, 먼길은 자전거를 이용하고, 장거리는 자가용보다는 버스를 이용한다
음식물 쓰레기 낭비를 위해 먹을 만큼만 요리하고, 잔반을 남기지 않는다. 쓰레기는 분리해서 버린다.
항상 주변을 청결히 한다. ^^

Take your own tote bags to the grocery store. They hold so much more and you won't need to worry about bags ripping like plastic bags do! I also have a nice insulated bag that I use for frozen foods or meats. I got a bunch free last year for Earth Month from the supermarkets.

Got baked-on food inside your microwave? Avoid using chemicals to clean it. Simply place a mug of water inside the microwave and boil on high for two to three minutes. The steam will soften the baked on food and make it easy to wipe up -- with a re-usable cloth of course!

Keep tank full in winter: Keeping your gas tank full can end up saving you big. When the gas tank isn’t full, the moist air in the gas tank condenses against the inside wall of the tank. When grocery shopping try opting for more local produce, such as the local butcher, farmers market etc... Local food is without a doubt healthier, and will not come in gigantic plastic packages, which always ends up in the landfill.

Quick oil change shops may urge us to change the oil in our vehicles every 3,000 miles. However, most newer cars don’t need the oil changed that often. In fact, most manufacturers say you can go 7,000 to 10,000 miles without a problem.

If it's yellow let it mellow, when it's brown flush it down. Use a toilet bowl brush frequently to prevent the need of cleaners in the bowl. Fold toilet paper and count sheets, to reduce overuse. Use a couple sheets of TP to wipe toilet rim clean. Lengthens periods between deep cleaning.

When washing dishes by hand, use a plastic basin for the rinse water. Once you are finished washing, you can use the almost clean rinse water for watering plants, grass, garden, etc.

Use cloth tea towels rather than paper towels. Take sometime to embroider you towels, embellish them with scrap fringe and fabrics, make them really special and your family will cherish using them for generations. I use my grandmothers hand-stitched tea towels and love them. Beats wasteful paper towels any day! And, they can be re-used again and again.

Most bills I receive come with a return envelope. I pay bills by phone or by computer, so I save all the envelopes and use them for mailing other things (letters or rebates), to hold misc. stuff, or even as scratch paper. I have also returned accumulated unused envelopes to some of the local businesses (only as I have been going by anyway).

Turn off heat source before the end of the cooking. The heat in the pot and element will contine to cook for a while especially if you were boiling something #2 use a small toaster oven or Microwave to heat and re-heat things instead of the larger stove oven #3 Put the next load in the dryer quickly before the heat from the first load goes away.

Compost in your own back yard. This reduces waste to the landfill.
Most dirt in backyards is less than 1% organic matter.
If you don't feed the Earth, the Earth can't feed you.
Organic matter holds rain water for less run off, lessens erosions, feeds plants making them healthier and more able to resist disease and pests as well as out grow weeds. Mulch twice a year for the good of the planet.

Ask for "no ice" when ordering drinks. Your beverage is already cold. Making ice is a waste of energy and sometimes a waste of good drinking water, since ice just remains in the glass once the beverage is gone.

I carry mesh bags to the grocery store to purchase produce, instead of using plastic bags. You can rinse and store produce in the mesh bags, and they are reusable forever. They are small and light enough to always have a few with you.
